carbon hatch deck?????

Default carbon hatch deck?????

im wondering if hyundai makes a carbon fiber hatch deck (deck that lifts up with the hatch when opened)i would really love to get my hands on one or if it would be something that i would have to do myself like carbon wrap it?? so if anybody could help or atleast give me some ideas that would be awesome and thanks for checkin it out

why would hyundai make a CF deck out of everyone? if anyone made it, it would be an aftermarket part, and there is none available.



you would have to wrap it, but given the OEM material, you would probably have to reproduce it and then wrap it in CF. big job for a part like that imo.

i didnt mean threw hyundai dealer i ment a aftermarket one but obvisouly worded it wrong and what would u suggest trimming the material with? a beard trimmer? lol or jus whatever i can find that does the job

You could try wrapping the stock one in wax paper and then making a fiberglass copy. Would required either multiple pieces or some type of "lost foam" technique like used in foundry work. After doing that you could wrap the fiberglass piece.



Waste of time and effort and a failed attempt in my opinion.

For a show car it would be worth the effort, maybe.

For a show car it would definitely be worth the effort. I actually had visions of possibly making a sub box out of the deck lid. Never came to be, but its still floating around in the back of my head.
