I could be wrong but it sounds like the brain is busted. No way you are going to fix that, unless you can send it in for repair. If you do that, they most likely will not repair it.They'll shit can it and send you a new one.

I'm just guessing, so maybe some one who knows more about alarms then me will chime in.

Default Re: Question about lighter pulleys

I just recently bought, and had installed the Viper 791XV (w/remote start)

Sounds to me like you are in "Valet mode"

The system will not arm, even with the remote transmitter wink1.gif
You said the light is lit solidly with no blinking - and your locks ,and trunk release functions are working , ...this means your in valet mode.

To enter or exit Valet Mode:

1. Turn ignition on
2. Turn ignition off
3. press and release the valet switch (button) within ten seconds

The status LED will light solidly if you are entering valet mode, and it will
go out if you are exiting valet mode.

If you want to do it with the remote:

1. Open any vehicle door
2. press Lock
3. Press UNlock
4. Press lock again

The status LED will light solidly if you are entering valet mode, and it will
go out if you are exiting valet mode.

Hope that helped 8)
