Default Broke the plastic hooks that hold my floor mats

I some how managed to snap the little black hooks that hold my floor mats in place. Other than going to the dealer and buying a new set, what other things can I use to hold them in place? Will velcro strips be strong enough?

Use velcro that has sticky tape on the opposite side and stick it to the bottom of your floormats.

I always thought a bolt through the floor would be a good permanent solution. Everything else will let the mats slip and eventually break. My floor mat hooks basically never worked right. Now I have boots with sticky tread, I just pull the floor mats back with my foot when they get too far forward.

My car did not come with hooks for the mats.

that did hurt my carpeting in a different location. When cleaning the car I took out the part with the velcro, which made my carpet "fluffy" (don't know a better word).

Don't know about the bolt (wouldn't do it myself). My mats always move but don't break (have them for 125,000 km).

you know those plastic mats with the little spikes on the back of them? what if you glued some of that on the back of your mat?

Those spiny things work great ... unfortunately I have never seen on Hyundai specific mats If someone finds them I'd be interested in a set for an RD2 though
