Default Best method to installing LEDs in cup holder

I want to install a couple of leds in my cupholders that come on when I turn the lights on. Anyone have a step by step DIY on what I would do for this?

I did mine with pre-wired LED's from Advanced Auto. Think the lights were $8 and that's what I paid for the whole deal. Drilled holes slightly smaller then the lights in the cupholders where I wanted them to go so that the lights could be pushed in and stay without need for glue or adhesive (for quick removal). Then taped all the wire strands together, ran them down the inside of the center console and up behind the dash where I tapped into the power and ground to the ashtray light for power. That way, they came on when the lights were turned to any click. They get annoying though,so I eventually wired a toggle switch in line to turn them on and off at night.
