Default Best amps out there!

Hey RDTiburon!

I need your help. I am looking for a new amp to run my Alpine Type R 10's. My last amp survived for almost 4 years. It was a Boss REV3000D. Despite Boss's usual bad reputation of producing ****y equipment, it really was a good amp. Actually it was an amazing amp! I just want to know what other people are running so I can get some ideas of what to buy.

I would like to get close to this setup:
800-1200 watts RMS
1 Ohm Stable (this is a must)
Probably mono block since it needs to be 1 ohm, right? Thats what the Boss was.

I have been looking at one amp in particular, the Elemental Designs NINE.1. Has anyone heard of this? A few car stereo forums have mentioned this as a good alternatitve to high priced brands.

oh yeah, Im trying to keep this around $300-350 bucks with shipping.

Any help would be appreciated! laugh.gif: Thanks!

I use rockford fosgate. i have had the BD1000.1 For about 5 years now and its running as strong as ever. plus have you ever tried to blow a rockford sub... when i upgraded my system the shop and i got the new subs in from shipping decide to try on 2 rockford fosgate HE2 15". We put an extra 1500 watts to the subs and all we did was blow the subs suspension.

If you have the cash, check out Soundstream. IMO, their Tarantula amps are the cleanest looking amps. I have friends who have used Soundstream amps for years without having any problems.

I vote for Fosgate!! Soundstream is pretty good too, as well as Alpine.

Once you deceide on an amp, try looking for it on ebay.I've found lots of good deals on there.

I am going to go with Solo on this one. DEI amps are very clean, and you get bukoo power for a great price.
