I can't see my normal sterio when the cam is onscreen. It kinda covers it up. Although, i have a switch i was using for a E-brake bypass until i found out there was a easter egg disable for it. I'm thinking about hooking up the momentary switch to it and having it pop on-screen at the touch of a concealed button. I could record from it. We'll have to wait on that until i get my AV I/O system squared away.



Isn't it cool? I was driving in that video. I can put it on while driving. The annoying part is that it covers my touchscreen and i can't operate my ipod or change the radio station.

Vouching for DTN, limo tint on rear window does make it very difficult to back up.

where did you put hte camera? on the bumper?

 

^^ yep. It sits right between the license plate illumination above the license plate. It's not very noticable. It screws right into the bumper. If I remove it, you'd never see the holes.

The RCA goes right up through the bumper into the same grommet the license plate illuminators go, then follow the driver's door sill up to the dash and into the radio. Power is run to my amp remote line.

 

if you have remote trunk pop via your alarm, take the key latch out and put it in there.
