Default B&M shortshifter install question?

I am getting the B&M short shifter should be here by Monday but my question was do you have to remove the middle console to install it? Reason being I have it out because I just ran new RF rca's down the middle and I want to put the center consol back in but if I have to take it out to install the shifter I might as well leave it out till I get the shifter. Thanks in advance.

Naw, you just remove the shifter surround. At least according to the one person who posted here.

Thanks Random. I am getting the shifter from my parts store around the corner as far as the Hurst I have no idea I didn't even know they made one but if it is avalible I am sure I would be able to get it since they are a Hurst dealer.

I installed the B&M in my 2K tib. It took me all of about 15 minutes. Biggest pain in the butt was lining up the side to side mechanism. But overall very easy to do. Let me know if you have any problems.

model number for the B&M shortshifter

once you put it in you will wish it was the first mod you did to your car what a difference I've had mine in for a week and love it.
