Pioneer decks are always nice.. Not terribley expensive either.. Lots of tuneability if you are willing to learn the deck, which takes just a few minutes if your halfway competent laugh.gif.. Ive got a DEH-P 3500 and it kicks ass.. Paid like 160 intown for it..

I just ordered a Pioneer Premier DEH-P960MP.It's just about at the top of the line, but I got it brand new on E-bay for $398 shipped.MSRP for this one is $650

Another brand I like is Alpine. They have some decent cheaper stuff, too.

What I'd do, is conduct some research and figure out what you want from a head unit. Then, check it out on E-bay and find a cheap price.

I've got a Clarion JHFJ4585835NDF834N39 ???

I'm not sure of the model number, but it was second from top of the line 2 years ago.(ones above were touch screen) I love it, great tunability with a decent power output to boot.

Exactly what MAD-TIB said above.. www.crutchfield.com has some GREAT info.. You can also goto circuit city, best buy, or w/e electronic store is around you and listen to the decks and play w/ them.. Just buy from ebay, if that is your thing.. I cant wait for ebay half the time though, must have NOW!!

I know whatcha mean by wanting it now, but I guess I have finally matured enough to be patient.I'd rather pay less these days, but get what I want at the same time. 8)

I have had several Pioneer decks and have never had a problem with any of them, they are my only choice!

I really like my JVC deck, model # 3150.

Another choice would be Alpine, they have always made great decks, especially if you are pushing speakers with it. They don't have the fancy stuff though, just great sound and quality.
