Default Anyone ever built their own subs or speakers?

I want to give it a shot. I know it could probably be less hassle and money to just buy regular stuff in a store, but building your own speakers or subs would provide more satisfaction in having an awesome sounding stereo system IMO.

Building the drivers is a waste of time, as nothing you could make would be as good as the junk from a car parts store.



Building the box is genius if done properly. Any of the benefits of any of the available pre-fab enclosures can be had, and you can engineer out the compromises they made to cut costs. AND it can sound better. I never for a second regretted making a custom glass enclosure for my sub.
