*note* utilization of stock sunroof close button means either holding or tapping.
This should be everything.. I'm working on cleaning it up and making a wiring diagram.
Good Idea, Bad idea? Interested? not? Any input would be helpful.

Man, that's cool. Can you do schematic for auto open-auto close mode.
If you want to open - press open button once (if you want to stop opening press close button or open button again)
What about windows?

I could expand this controller to encorperate those features. It won't be much of a DIY when it's finished if i did.
Took 2 days to make this schematic, will take 3 days to breadboard and 2 days to make a DIY on a "holy" board. spread out over then next few months or so.
Estimated DIY project time when complete: 2 hours construction/install

If you could make the watermark in the pic lighter it would be easier to read, but it looks good to me.
www.the12volt.com has a lot of good schematics available as well, I modified one of theirs for my install. And the security forum is loaded with informative posts. If you want professional installers to critique it, you might try there. I got ideas I never would have considered otherwise.

I'm wondering if this will also stop the sunroof if it closes on something, say, someone's arm?
The ones I'm selling in GB do.

I think there is something wrong with the relay connected to the ACC..
The 555 is supposed to be triggered by a falling edge on Trigger (pin 2), and the circuit doesn't seem to work that way.. at least, it didn't work when I tried.
Any info on that?

Yeah, the trailing edge is when the vehical is turned off, also at that time the system switches to 12V power from a separate line, suspended by the cap. and the final output relay is triggered durring the RC Time constant.
