Default To anyone with air/fuel ratio meters...

I've got one of those a/f meters from Autometer, the one with the LED's..

I hooked mine up, but if I turn on the sidelights the a/f meter goes dim and if I turn the lights on full, it goes out completely. I have tried several sites for the ground and several for the 12v.

Where do you all have them wired up to...plus my meter is always in the red!!!

Any help appreciated

If you meter is always in the red, you have it hooked up to the wrong wire. Hyundai has no wire color loyalty...so try one of the other wires. Find the one that has varing voltage when the car is at idle.

Don't hook the AF meter to the dimmer switch. Just have it on when ever the car is on.

Its not wired to the dimmer switch, its wired into a 12v source which is only live when the ignition is on...

I got the garage to hook up the purple wire to the o2 sensor. Idiots!
