amps go into protection when connections are wrong like incorrect bridging or - + are touching
look over your wires even the ones in your sub box make sure they are all good
disconnect speakers & see if the light goes off for protection if not then it either your ground, remote or your + coming from the battery. just go n check bro u will figure it out

bad ground possibly?
Thats why mine started doing it....
make sure your ground isnt very long, and i would screw it straight into the metal, and not try putting it to like a seat belt screw or somethin?? Just screw it into the metal part under your spare tire or somethin?

0 gauge for 1000 watts rms dont y0u think that is overkill? im not an expert or anything but you could get by on 2 for sure or maybe even 4 gauge. depending on how hard you are pushing your amp. as far as trouble shooting the problem, like every one has said check all connection also check at the battery for corrosion that can add a great deal of resistance. also here is a question are you just runing an amp or are do you have more to it than that like a capacitor>? if you have a cap you may have fried it. if you are running a cap there are a few ways to test if it is bad.

i doubt your running a 1000 watt rms amp im sorry but there rare to find can you get a model number?
anyways
make sure your ground is clean in other words where you grounded are you grounded to the metal and not metal with paint on it
you might have a break in the wire also
but
i think you just blew up the amp
