which amp out of these is best? and best way to wire them
Ive been doing my research on car audio and ive finally narrowed it down to one of these amps and a pair of AudioBahn 12" Performer Subs in a sealed box. what is the best way to wire my subs to my amp to make it have the deepest loudest bass without risking blowing my amp or my subs
Also which amp would be a better choice?
US USX2100 Amp is:
100Wx2CH @ 4ohms
150Wx2CH @ 2ohms
300Wx1CH @ 4ohms all rated at 12v
Concept cc-1252
125Wx2CH @ 4ohms
200Wx2CH @ 2ohms
400Wx1CH @ 4ohms
GS Designs gs-300s
150Wx2CH @ 4ohms
200Wx2CH @ 2ohms
400Wx1CH @ 4ohms
Rockford 500s
125wx2CH @ 4 ohms
250wx2CH @ 2 ohms
500wx1CH @ 4 ohms
12" Audiobahn Performer Sub
500 rms power handling
{Dual 4ohm} or 2ohm or 8ohm

Go with the Fosgate 500S...They under rate their amps and are usually 50 - 100 watts more then they say they are. Every Fosgate amp comes with a stress test evaluation which tells you what that amp put out when tested. They are just very powerfull amps in general!
Yup!! Fosgate is the best bet out of those you named.Very good, strong amps.I used to run them in my last 2 cars, and I never once had trouble with them.
I wasn't paying that much attention to the modle Fosgate you are thinking about. If it's a mono sub amp,it is 2 ohm stable.Since you have(or will be)running 2 dual 4 ohm subs you could wire them in one of these ways:
(1)Parallel the coils of each sub. That gives you a 2 ohm total for each sub.
(2)Series the 2 subs. That gives you a 4 ohm total to put onto the amp.Or,
(3)Wire them like I just said, then use an impeadance matching transformer to knock the load back to 2 ohms. That way the sub will give you the most, without dammaging the amp.
Fosgate has,or at least used to have impeadance matching transformers. If they no longer have them, you could try Stinger.Unfortunately I don't remember their URL.
Hope this helped.

If he runs 2 4ohm subs in series it will B an 8ohm load not 4 wink
If each DVC sub has coils rated at 4ohms and you parallel the 2 coils of one sub,you get 2 ohms. Then,if you series the 2 subs together, you are right back to 4 ohms!!! 2ohms + 2ohms = 4 ohms. And of course, + means series. tongue.gif

If you get a 500s get dual 4 ohm woofers and run the woofers in parallel into sprarate channels to get a 2 ohm load or you could get a fosgate bd500 and get dual 8 ohm woofers and run them in parallel to get a 2 ohm load out of the mono block amp (I have a bd500 running 2 kicker comp vr 12's. The amp pounds!!

my most fav amps are Memphis. i have a 1000d powering 2 kicker comp vr 12" 2ohm dvc. it pounds the **** outta them.

Depends what u want to spend, my opinion would be an ARC 2500-CXL. Puts out around 1100 watts at 4 ohms. VERY clean amp, i have 2 on order right now. If u would like 1, i can get u a nice discount on 1. E-mail me for more info.
