Okay guys, I've started burning MP3 CD's at like 160 to 190 something bitrates, the sound is friggin amazing, I love it.
Only problem is, I listen to a LOT of mix CD's, I'm a electro head when it comes to music, and when it gets going, NOTHING PISSES YOU OFF MORE THAN A 2 SECOND DELAY BETWEEN TRACKS IN A MIX!!!
I've got a Alpine CDA-9827 that ABQELANTRA hooked me up with (BTW, thanks again my friend, I owe you...), and it sounds great, I've looked on their site, but there is no info, and I've looked at the manual and the best I can do is get the song titles to constantly cycle. laugh.gif
Anyone have any ideas on how I can listen to my albums interruption free?
Or is the RED Z just shiat out of luck?

that wouldnt be something you could fix with the player. you would just have to edit the songs in some kind of program before you burn, so there is almost no empty space before and after music for each track.

There isn't any space between them.
I've listened to them on the PC, no spaces.

the way the burning software does it though it puts em there. you have to find a way ti mix em all into one but then you cant hit individual tracks. its give and take in your situation mang. that as far as i understand majority of burning software for cd's im probably wrong if i am someone correct me.

Well, when you burn MP3's as FILES, it shouldn't be an issue, it's just the FILE.
I've had MP3 CD Players before, and one had the issue, then they had a firmware update to fix it.
When you RIP MP3's, there's an option to include that 2 second gap or not. These don't have it. There are about 73 songs on the CD in there right now.
Just didn't know if I was missing a setting on the HU or if they do firmware updates for Alpines.

Yeah, but then what use is the title function? I like to know who's playing what I'm listening to.
Oh well.
Anyone got a MP3 headunit that doesn't do this?

I have a Pioneer, and there is a 1/2 second gap between tracks. Not too bad, but still noticeable. I found that if I turn off the id3 tag reading, the gap is slightly less, so you might want to try that if possible. Otherwise there isn't anything you can do.

I have almost the same Alpine model with MP3.
Sometimes it will wait between tracks sometimes it won't.
Ex: Teh new Chemical Bro's CD I have (I'm sure you do too) does not pause between tracks at all. Teh entire CD flows from track 1 to the end.
But, If I burn a CD or listen to a rap CD (not burned) then there will be pauses between tracks.
It has somethign to do with the way the CD was burned/made. I don't think it's a HU upgrade or somethign to do with your HU.
I dont' know how to burn CD's w/o the pause, maybe look into a better MP3 burner or Cd burner program.
hope that helps.
