Is my red air bag light always supposed to be on? It's not blinking, it's just always on. Not sure if it's always been this way but I just noticed it recently.

Did you take your dash / gauges off recently?

If you left the car on (not running, but just 2nd notch of the key) and took your guages off and put them back onto the dash, this will happen.

To reset this, you need to take it the dealer or anyone with and OBD2 to reset it.

If you didn't take the dash / gauges off recently, take it back to the dealership, there maybe an issue with the airbag wiring,... it should be covered under warranty.

should be... is the operative word.. If you did not do anything to the car and the light popped on.. it is something wrong.. take care of it soon (not to mention the red light is annoying at night)

The thing is, I didn't do anything to the gauges, and I bought my 99 used, so there is no warranty on it..

Geez man you trying to scare me??!! That would be terrible having the airbag blow up while I'm making a turn or something. Now I have to take it into the dealership. So, how much do you think they would charge to get the airbag problem, and my blinker problem fixed?

its better to go to the dealer to find out its nothing than drive down the road and find out its a big problem when it's hitting you in the face
