Aftermarket head unit

Ok so currently my car is stock from the ground up. I'd like to see a bout getting an aftermarket head unti but I'm not sure what all that will mean. I currently have the infinity 440 watt factory system with sub in the hatch.

I've got a nice Alpine CDA-9847 for sale here, simple. cheap. effective. XM/Sirius Radio ready if you have the service.
