Default Adding an IPOD dock in the center console

Has anyone ever seen someone add an IPOD dock in their center console? Or maybe even the plugs that alot of newer cars have, in their center consoles? I'm guessing I would have to find regular IPOD plugs or a dock, then run wiring under the console to the head unit and connect it from behind.

Here are some ideas I liked

If I knew how to work with fiberglass this would be an awsome idea

I ran a JVC Ipod interface from the deck to my center console. The best way to decide is whether or not your adapter will allow you to use the Ipod through the head unit or not. If not, you may want to mount it where easy access to the Ipod is available.
