I’m looking for a good recommendation on a 5 channel amp. I know HA has a lot of really knowledgable members when it comes to audio systems and which amps and speakers are good to get. I have a Pioneer head unit, polk audio components, polk audio 6x9’s, and a 12” Alpine Type R sub. No amps at the moment, and my sub box is being made by a friend. Its going to be fiberglass and site in the corner of the hatch with a thin carpeted cover that will make it very stealth-like and blend in with the rest of the carpeting. I would like to mount my amp under the spare tire cover. As you all can see, I’m going for a minimalist appearance. No wires everywhere, no amps everywhere, no distribution blocks everywhere. My man, all I can say is that better be a biga$$ 5 channel to run a type R. The power handling on them is high for a reason, with your ideas here I would have gone with the type S because of the size and more apropraite power handling.Just had a quick look at the usual suspcts for mobile and I can't honestly make a recomendation for something off the shelf. I'm thinking you will have to do some digging in the car audio crowd for something proper.
