Just to prove that my spider is not taking up all my time.. I just got a new interior light off of ebay for my tib.
I never liked the stock light the base models had.. but I have never been able to find a decent replacement that would also cover the hole in the headliner from the original stock light.

While searching for a maplight for my fiat.. I found this and immediatly purchased it:

Once it comes in, I will hopefully be able to find a warmish day to install it.

What does your stock map-light assembly look like? I thought there was only one kind.

Mine is quite cool & incorporates my sunnies-holder... Gotta love it fing02.gif

nope.. mine is a "pimple" in the dead middle of my headliner, right near my head. Being a base model tib (the only manual on the lot when I bought it) it came with no frills like maplights, sunglass holders, power mirrors, or locks.

So, it is not a map light, but a "dome" light.

You should have looked into those premium rear view mirrors that have the compass, temp, and downlights built in.

That won't look bad though.

Yeah but those things are pricey!

I want one though. Auto dim function would be nice, as well as LED maplights. I'd like one with temp sensors as well, although that's considered useless by many. I've been cruising salvage yards, since they come on many nicer vehicles, but they're always removed.

I already have an autodimming mirror from a BMW Z4. No compass or lights, but it looks b****en.

It's an old pic.. I already excised the "pimple" on the bottom that BMW uses for their alarm system. It looks a lot cleaner now.
