2 volt vs 4 volt preamp output from head unit

2 volt vs 4 volt preamp output from head unit
My head unit is has a 2V preamp outputs. What is the advantage of having a 4V preout over a 2V? Is it worth it to buy a new headunit for 4V preouts?
