I recently purchased 06 Hyundai Tiburon SE and love the way it performs. Everything is working pretty fine except the audio, so I am planning to upgrade it. I already purchased a new head unit, subs and an amp. Can anyone help me to remove the stock head unit. It’s a ken-wood HD with a removable face plate and three gauges above that. Wiring also seems tricky, so I wondering if anybody can give me any tips and ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I have done this to our 05 Tiburon SE.
If you want to keep the multigauge cluster (3 above the stereo) it is sort of tricky. The factory mounting setup mounts the stock stereo and the multigauge as a unit. I cut up the stock plastic brackets and re-used it. If you don't want to keep the multigauge you can just buy a stereo mounting kit and it'll work fine.
You have to remove the panel with the HVAC controls and all that surrounding the radio to do the work. It just pops off.
Buy an adapter harness, it'll plug into the stock stereo wiring and you can wire that to your new stereo's wiring harness. Saves a lot of headaches. Amp power wiring routing wasn't fun, I chose to pull the driver's inner fender lining and enlarge a hole from the engine bay into that area, then routed the wire through the fender around the firewall and into the cabin.
