I'm planning on routing the 0 guage from my engine bay back to my trunk in preparation for the install of my shtuff. I was wondering since I'm a total newb to audio. Where do I get the 0 guage wiring? Rdio shack? Are there different kinds? Should I be looking for a specific type?

you might wanna check at a local hardware/audio store as well. no shipping. smile.gif
it's pretty much universally the same, though just like everything else there are going to be versions better than others (copper quality, jacket quality).

zero gage? I am afraid to see what you guys are running. The stuff I deal with on stage only uses 2 or 4 gage and we are usually running 480 volts and an electric chair's worth of Amps

For most people, it's to install a second battery in the trunk, or relocate the main one. And even if it's just for amps, it gives you upgrade room in the future.
Two gauge is harder to find, and it usually costs the same as zero. May as well go with zero.
I don't use anything bigger than four, but I also don't have any items all the way in the trunk that need a lot of juice.
There's also a lot more terminals and accessories available for zero.
I wouldn't buy wire from a hardware store. You need to go with good quality power wire that has a high strand count, with fine strands. Most hardware store stuff is low strand count, heavy strands, and not especially flexible.

There you go. That's the info I'm trying to pull. I wouldn't have thought to look at ebay though for it. I bought my Tib from ebay so I don't know why it wasn't one of the first places I looked, it usually is. Thanks everyone. I'll take anyone else's input that wants to offer some.
