My V on the dyno

This is my base Veloster on the dyno at PRE Racing. I wanted to get a base line before adding an exhaust to be able to compare the changes. Stock except for the Nameless Performance prototype CAI.

only 130hp??

Neziah 04-21-2012 10:30 AM

Yeah that is what they got. 130.2HP/130ft-lbs torque average over 4 pulls. I'll try and get the sheets up later. I wish I had a bone stock pull on their dyno to compare but I do not.

That seems be in the ball park with other intake dynos I've seen on the V with this one being a little higher in HP and torque especially. It is sorta hard to compare though, different cars, dynos etc. The tech did say it was really rich on top, no way to adjust that yet though. The intake did help a lot with low end response and has a great tone when your standing on it.

130whp is pretty good for something rated at 138 at the crank. I would have expected around 115-120whp.

Yeah the intake made a very noticeable difference when it was installed.

I'm the furthest from an expert, but isn't that AFR kinda high? and shouldn't it be more constant?
