We were told it was coming early this year, now we have a closer look at what's under the hood of the Hyundai Veloster turbo. Caught by our spy shooter while testing in Death Valley, this prototype looks like it's using a turbocharged version of the standard model's 1.6-liter, direct injected four-cylinder. Announced by Hyundai earlier this year, the force-fed 1.6 generates 208 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, a healthy boost over the standard 140-hp engine.
