Hyundai Veloster Midship Concept Packs 295 HP
http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...nted-2-0t.html
Mid-engine layout in a vehicle is usually reserved for supercars, but the latest concept car from Hyundai packs in a small turbo engine right behind the driver.
Obviously named for its engine placement, the Veloster Midship Concept is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 295 hp, sent straight to the rear wheels. The lower center of gravity provided by the mid-mounted engine will help this car handle better along with lighter aluminum suspension, a high-rigidity structure and the large wing mounted on the back.
A recent rumor suggests that the larger Genesis Coupe model will be dropping the 2.0T engine, and it looks like the Veloster might adopt the powertrain. However, Hyundai says that this concept was built ”to explore possibilities for the Veloster chassis and is currently not related to any future production model.”
The car was revealed at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea.
If Hyundai comes out with a mid engine V, its game over. I'll trade mine in in a second for it.
