Default Battery isolaters

Anybody ever installed an isolater to hook up to a 2nd battery for large stereo systems?

BTW I have a used relay like this I'll sell cheap. It's rated 600A surge and 200A continuous.

White Rodgers Type 586 SPNO 12v coil.

I've done this before. And if you have two batteries that are not identical one charge source will overcharge the one with least resistance and undercharge the one with most resistance.

As a matter of fact, I worked for a large battery manufacturer for years and they would try parallel charging every 5 years or so. But it never worked well. You will need identical batteries, which do not stay identical with parallel charging, or some sort of charge controller like seen on RVs.
