link worky now.
^^^^^^
Dude, your confusing the crap out of me. xd=gt=beta 2=all the same. From what I have gathered from the search topics the 1.8l intake cam is better to run in the 2.0 engine. Higher lift and longer duration without the possible damage the xd intake cam may cause.
Maverick, I misread your post. I think I read a post on HP about there being some bene's to the exhaust cam. I'll see if I can find it.
Well here's the cam comparison chart. 1.8 is the same as 2.0l and both look to be better for n/a than the xd exhuast cam.

thx KB5133 i want the 1.8L cam but was wondering if the Xd cam was better to... the chart you got show te opposite
what i heard was that in the lantra GT the Exausth Cam wasn't the same that in the other lantra and Tib... never found the info on if it was right or not.... from what i could find on hyundai webtech there was no diffrence as your char showed
so i'll just get the 1.8L cam smile.gif

post 2k1 tibs are beta 2.5's i thought. since they have the ccvt technology. beta2's are 01-03 elantra's without ccvt.
im not trying to argue, just get an understanding. im working with what ive allready been told, be it wrong or not.
i was told the xd gt cams were out of the GT elantras, it was the primary mod that made them a GT other then the suspension differences. and i believe that was before the ccvt was even offered yet.
i thought the set ups went like this.
1st gen 1.8 = beta
1st and 2nd gen 2.0 = beta1
01-03 elantra 2.0 = beta2 no ccvt
03 - current tibs 2.0 = beta2.5 with ccvt technology
i think thats right. trying to do this on thre types of prescription drugs......

Definitely go with the 1.8l. You'll be more than happy. Try to match it up with a 1.8l rev. A ecu if you can get one. It's a good combo.
