Default Worth buying a 2008 Tiburon?

Wondering what everyone here thinks about the idea of trading in a 1998 Tib for a 2008 Tib. My 98 has almost 170K miles on it and a local dealer offered to give me double the blue book value of it for a trade in. My car is 100% stock other than just rims and wheels, tint, and a small stereo system. The 08 is the 4 cylinder model, standard (my 98 is an auto), has 32K on the odometer, and they want $8200 for it financed with a 3 year loan. Im sure I could get my loan amount under $200 a month with the trade in and about an extra $1200 down.

Should I go for it, or keep my 98 until it dies completely?

get it NOW!!! especially if they are offering 2X blue book value.. when it dies, its worth almost nothing.

btw, what is blue book value on it?

Dooooo eeeett!

Should be a no brainer. You get a car thats 10 years newer, TONS of less mileage, a warranty, and you'll only be paying for it for 3 years, which will go by super quick. You would be stupid to pass it up.

the $8,200 is after trade-in I assume?

a quick search shows them selling from $12k-16k still.

Invoice was $16-21k, so you're getting it for HALF of invoice and still low mileage. I'd jump on it.

See if there's a warranty, and make sure it feels good driving it. You don't want to get 10 miles down the road and have the transmission die and be SOL, but even then, buying a new transmission is worth it with the deal you're getting.
