Most likely it just has to be tightned down. There's a splined shaft that the wiper rides on and has a nut or bolt (I forget which) which hold it on the shaft. Just tighted that down and hopefully thats all it is. My roomates 95 accent has it happen every once and a while. If that isn't the problem, it's probably the linkaget from the motor.

What Supry said.
Tighten her down, if not, your wiper linkage is messed. They're not that hard to replace, but it's like $70

The "twiching" you see is basically the "spline", as supry called it, tightening and loosening itself.

This happens alot when you leave your wipers on accidentally over night. Then when you come out in the morning and start your car with like 5+" snow on it, or if the wipers are frozen to the windsheild, they don't move forward but the "spline", will go backwards loosening the bolt. Just tighten it and you'll be fine.

Here's what you need to do mang.

On the end of your wiper arm, where it meets the car, flip up the cap. There should be a nut under there. Take it off, then remove the arm.

Look inside the arm where it connects and see if it's stripped to hell. If it is, replace the arm.

Look at the splined shaft that the arm attached to, if it's stripped, replace the shaft.

It's not hard, I've done it on my excel before.

this happens to my tib from time to time.. just do as REDZ sayz and you will be fine. Even if it looks stripped though, you might be able to just tighten it down.
