I recieve my 1.8L Cam from Yamaha and my dad pointed out something. He just said to get some emery cloth and smooth it out. I probably will just in case but will it be a problem. Is that the right thing to do?

i personally wouldn't. emery cloth just doesn't scream percision machining that came from the factory. i doubt anyone here did that for their install and no-one (that i heard of) has had problems realted to a poorly finished cam. i'm not saying that your dad is wrong but it may be un-nessecary.

good luck with the install don't forget to oil that bumpstick up before you stick her in-... and make sure you line it up correctly!
