Widest tire I should go?

Widest tire I should go?

Right now I have 205/40/17's on 17x8.5" wheels on my Tib. I'm lowered on Eibach springs. Would I be ok if I went with 215/40 or 215/35 size tires without rubbing? What about 225/35?

I wouldnt go 225. 215 should be ok for you.

Had 215 - 35- 17 on my car but went back to 205-40-17. On a car like a Tiburon, wider tires caused steering issues for me.
