Weighed my Tiburon the other day and just wondering what other tiburons out there were weighting in at.

2000 Tiburon M/T
Stock with 16" Rims
2834 lbs with me and a full tank of gas

 

I don't know what mine weighs. Can't get it into the bathroom so I can put it on the scale.

 

that seems a little heavy... have you added ICE or anything serious to the car? The listed weight for the tib is a tad over 2600 pounds.. at least the RD1 was listed as that.

 

No ice or anything else heavy in it.

Mad its because he's in it. Assuming he weighs about 180-190lbs then its right about where it should be stock.

I want to weigh mine after i get my new turbo, after my weight reduction i should be down around 2500-2550.

Where does everyone go to weigh their cars?

I was thinkin about going to the dump, because my friend told me they weigh you.

 

yeah i weigh about 170lbs
and i weighed mine at the drag strip

Shit i wish i could get it to weigh 2550 with me in it lmao, id have to get a CF hatch, maybe some lexan, and some other work ive been thinking about doing...

 

i actually weighed mine yesterday-... said it was 6080 lbs bone stock/me in it-...no i'm not 4000lbs scale must've been off (does this rd2 make my butt lok big?) -... i went to a local landscaping supply place to weigh mine. they weigh the weight of your car when you come in v.s. the weight of your car when you leave w/ much or rock or whatever you have loaded in your sport compact (j/k). so hopefully you have better luck than me-... as for those who want their rd's to weigh less w/ them in it-...carbon fiber is you best option-.. i'm not talking just hoods and hatches but try apmutating a few limbs and repalcing them w/ carbon fiber prostetics! welp i'm just gald i could help! -steve

When I was driving across country with a U-Haul, i just stopped into one of those truck weigh stations. My tib weighed 3300 and my trailer 1500. Yes. I have a trailer hitch on my Tiburon, and yes, I overloaded it.



You can go to a truck weigh station and get your weight read on your car easily. Just stop in and tell them what you want, they'll even do per axle if you want so you can tell your weight distribution.
