some friend told me that if i buy headers, then i will be romoving the Cat. he said that the big grey ugly thing that reads "HOT" if front of the engine is the Cat, and since i don't know that much about cars i wanted to ask you all guys if that is true. i told him that he is wrong, that is the stock manifold. please tell me if i will be needing a High Flow Cat, and if so, can you tell me good sites to buy the cat...thanks...i know one thing for a fact, those headers are gonna be mine, lmao.gif

Headers replace your exhaust manifold and your first cat.

Your friend was partially correct.

under where it says "hot" is the manifold.. directly below that is the first cat. Both will get replaced with a header/extractor. you will also have to relocate the first Oxygen sensor

^ No, you will just be getting rid of one of your two stock catalytic convertors. That said, getting a new hi-flow cat to replace the stock (2nd) cat would be good also.

One of the O2 sensors needs to be before what will now be your only cat & the other sensor needs to be positioned after the cat... Otherwise you'll get a CEL.

if you take your front lawn hose and bend it in half check out what happens to the water when you spray it. same dymanics happen when you have your stock TB compared to a BBTB. BBTB will increase the power of the header and a cold air intake will open up the intake.
