Hi there,
I've got 100% stock engine.

Any suggestions what should I do in my car to make it little faster?
Don't want to get new hi-speed record - just want to get better 0-60 mph result.

Since now, I had changed my exhaust (has been broken when I bought it, and the sport one was cheaper than the original) - haven't got kat (catalisator in english?) and bigger diameter of the exhaust pipe.

Where should I start working on it?

I'm a newbie in that topic, so please explain your ideas.

First thing would be a cold air intake. Fairly simple project with not much to go wrong, and you can definitely notice the gains. Search for cold air intake, there are plenty of threads.

Word, Cold Air Intake is teh shizzy. A set of lightweight rims cost $500, will increase your fuel economy and make your entire car feel lighter.

if you want to do cold air intake, check to see if there's a black box in front of your driver's fender first. if there is one, buy a cold air intake and cut it in half with a hacksaw so the filter is below the battery tray. if there is no black box, you're free to unscrew the air system and screw in the intake.

reason i'm sort of against CAI's are because the filter gets dirty way too much down there. ever since i have had it below the tray nothing including water has access to it.

depends on how far you want to go with it. You could also change out to a lighter underdrive pulley, as well as lighter pulleys around.

Less weight=easier rotation=faster engine acceleration

Also an aftermarket header to go with your sports exhaust if you haven't already put one on.

I have to improve my English to talk about it with you guys..

CAI (Cold Air Intake) is quite expensive I think.. But lets see..
Is that all what I need?
Cold Air Intake

It will give me about 4-7 horse power and cost me $235 with shipping from UK (the worst thing, is that Hyundai Coupe isn't popular car in Poland, so there is no performance shop here) - it is a lot of money if you ask me. If this mod could give more power, than I could think about..

Any cheaper upgrades? Or more expensive, but which gives more hp?

Is that it: Pulley Set?

Sorry, but I'm a really noob.. tongue.gif

Rather than hacking up an expensive intake if you do have the box there, go with one of these

I've got it on my car and it was WAY cheaper than any other intake out there. Plus they ship internationally so you won't pay too much.

Generally, any shop that does exhaust work with piping can make you one.

Cheaper rates on labor is something you can take advantage of being in a smaller country. Here, the piping for a CAI might run you $50 in parts and labor if you use aluminized steel, then pay another $20 for a filter. Where you are, you might be able to get away with cheaper.

With brand-name parts, you're paying for the name basically when it comes to parts like those.
