Ok, well I am having some pretty strange vibrations coming from the car. At idle, it vibrates really hard unless then defroster or AC is on, I read to try replacing the PCV valve, and I did so, but that didn't help at all. I am beginning to think this might be the exhaust, cause it feels as if it is carbing up at idle, then the RPM's jump up, a ton of exhaust shoots out, and its fine for a second, then it gets worse and worse, until it repeats itself. This isn't much of a problem, as I was planning on replacing the headers, cat. converter, and putting on a new cat-back exhaust anyway.

The other weird vibration is when I am driving. When I hit about 65+, the steering wheel (not the car, my passenger doesn't feel it) vibrates for 2 seconds, then it doesn't at all, then it vibrates again for two seconds, then it stops for two seconds. It does this for however long I am driving it this fast. Any input on this?

Also, will it hurt our engines to put 89 octane fuel in there? I know you aren't supposed to use 91 octane unless it is specifically called for, but I am thinking the higher octane gas might cut down on some of the idle vibration.

Thanks for any help! :-)

Any CEL? Check plugs and wires, make sure everything's working right. Redz is probably going to say TPS tongue.gif You could try cleaning with deep creep if you think there's carbon buildup.
I don't think higher octane fuel would fix your problem, there's obviously something wrong, and that would just be a band-aid.

Spark Plugs and Wires haven't even been on there for 2,000 miles yet, but I'll check them. I used Deep Creep on it about a month ago, and used Synthetic Fuel Injector Cleaner about two tanks ago. Fuel injector cleaner helped for about half of the tank I added it too, then the problems came back, if that helps any.

And no CEL.

I ran 89 N/A no problems. A lot of us have rough idle issues, mine was rather different, my idle was lil firm then if I turned on the A/C it got rough.

Still puzzles me.

Hmm, I got a similar problem. If I have it idleing, and then put on the rear window heater, it get's heavier, same goes for the front heater, and the a/c. If everything is off, it's all good. All my spark plug wires have been replaced about 7k km's back. Maybe I need new spark plugs?

Oh, and higher octane wouldn't help. I even got me that shell-vpower stuff, but that doesn't help it. Normally it's euro95.

could be a plugged up cat, that will bog up with enough pressure.

Thanks for the advice guys, got new wheels and tires, that fixed all vibrations while moving.

Still vibrating at idle, but think that's probably the cat, and I'll deal with that when I upgrade exhaust (hopefully soon).

Thanks again laugh.gif
