Urgent: Help Needed. Incredibly Violent Idle W/ Flashing Cel
My friend was driving my car with me next to him.
He isn't used to the Tib, so his shifting was off, but nothing too serious.
All of a sudden, the car starts vibrating VERY rough at idle. You can feel a pulse at idle. The check engine light began flashing as well (It was on prior to this due to a failed cat).
Throttle response was weak as well.
The car did NOT stall and got me home ok. It started back up as well. Temperature was normal. All the belts seemed there (couldn't see too well)
The only thing that felt different (could TOTALLY be psychological) was the clutch had more play than usual.
Other than that, I am clueless.
Please list any realistic possibilities and ask any questions. I will monitor this post late tonight.
Thanks in advance.

Never did.
The previous owner said she had a tune up in Feb or approx. 10-12K miles ago.
She thinks the wires and plugs were changed.
Is misfire a sure enough guess? Would it be the only cause of a flashing cel?
I have the Seafoam fuel additive in the tank as well (just thought I'd' throw that in there)

I'm curious because I'm not sure if this is true or false. By adding seafoam to clean your engine etc, which would cause the carbon to break apart and burn. Could of there been a crack or leak in your gasget or piston rings that the carbon acted as an isulator? Now that the carbon has been cleared you might be running into problems depending on what the carbon actually glogged. How many miles on your engine? I think I heard MadMachine talk about this a while back.
