once again I'm having car troubles...this time I don't think I did anything wrong. well I was waiting for my gf to get off work, and I turned my car off. Well I went to go turn it back on...and it tryed to start...then I tried again and nothing happened...so I got a hot shot from someone...and it started...well I was at my neighbors housesitting/useing the pool and the same thing happened...so I jump started it again...and it starts up...and I turn the lights on and the car shuts off...so I jump it agian with the lights on and I came home...

so bad alternator??

jump start the car, once you get it running remove both battery cables.
if the car instantly dies, it's your alternator.

with the car running remove the battery cables, and see if it stays running.

yup, that is what happen to me also, the alt went bad. i got a new one and that solved it. if you can get you a bigger amprage alternator, the std is 90 A and the one that i am currently running is 120 A. i will soon post a DIY/GB on this.if i get the permission of the mods/and admin.

your alt is not makeing enuff power to keep the car running so it dies as soon as you disconnect the jumper cables or turn on the light.. we must remimember that our cars need the power to drive the fuel pump/ecu/dis./cooling/and it goes all the way down to the map lights. so if there is not enuff power the the first three the car will die.

did i miss anything, my brother

An alternator GBN would be great. I've been watching for a good one on ebay for a while now, not too many deals.

go to any autoparts place.. they have battery terminal cleaners.. Look like a big wire end of a pipe cleaner. A really good tool will have two ends.. one for inside the wire ends and another to clean the terminals of the battery
