Well, maybe the title is a bit drastic.
Really, my car moves straight and my steering wheel is always cocked to the right. If I let go of the steering wheel, the car does not pull, it continues moving in a straight line, but the wheel is cocked. I had a pretty nasty incident this winter where I did like 2 donuts on the freeway going about 70mph, skidded into the ditch and knocked over a mile-marker post. The car ran fine on the way home, and I don't really know when this problem started but is it possible that that accident could be responsible?
Here's a picture, now keep in mind my car is going STRAIGHT in this picture, and as you can see I'm not even touching the steering wheel.

^^^^^right there!
Mine happened when I hit the brakes hard and skidded into the grass and eventually nudged a curb.
Just get an alignment done. Ask them to check all linkages and end links.

T01 is right. i got the same stuff. it's an easy fix, a mechanic just needs to hop some of those teeth back. did it do that randomly or was it right after your incident?
man, you and your freeway spinning. remix driving. lol...

I can't remember when exactly it happened, but the only time I've ever rammed into something was then, so I thought I'd mention it.
So, is it out of alignment or is the steering wheel just off? Or both?
Is this something I should get done ASAP, or is it not that big of a deal?
thanks.
