just wondering if anyone has tinted or thinks it is a good/bad/stupid idea to use a light shade of window tint and tint the turn signals and head lights. cause i want the smoked tails from kspec. but i want them to match as close as possible.

In my opinion, unless you don't want to drive at night or like being pulled over by the police and fined, I wouldn't tint or cover the headlights, turn signals or tail lights.

tinting headlights will definately reduce light beem. It's not worth it!

what about painting the casing from the inside to black ...and leaving the outside part alone ...the headlights dont really use any reflective surface to shine brighter ...not sure about the turn signals but painting the inside shouldnt hurt that much...just alot more work involved but you wont get hassled by cops and it should darken the front lights enough to look good with the tails you want....

I would paint the housings and not tint the glass. It would have the same effect when you looked at the car but would not hinder their usefullness.

Use night shade from Summit. It'll tint them, and not impair the light.

heres mine when I had them painted, the cops in New Mexico and Georgia thought they were cool, not illegal. besides a can is $11 and it washes off with a little elbow grease

tinted enough for ya?

Ultra has a great point. Painting the bezel will give the effect of a tinted headlight without the police attention or reduced visibility.

I painted the reflectors on my turnsignals black..

From behind it is still just as bright, as I used a heavy gloss black.

In the front I used graphite paint on both the headlights and turnsignals.

The front turnsignals are a LITTLE dimmer.. but not much.
