I want to buy a used motor, and eventually overhaul and buy a turbo kit , and also blueprint, balance, and all of that good stuff, but I cant find a good site to buy cheap good motors from. I kinda skeptical about Ebay for some reason, Ebay doesnt seem that good of a place to buy an engine from to me (if I have to I will).

So I was wondering what are some good sites for buying engines from?

You could always check the local junkyard.
www.car-part.com is a good search.

Car-parts.com is the best way.

The seller LDK on ebay is part of a nationwide junkyard chain, so I'm willing to bet it's pretty good. I'm sure there is one in your area.

since you are going to be fully rebuilding it, ebay truefully would be a great idea, the motors sell really cheaply.

Your best bet is to find one in a local junkyard. If you can't find local, E-Bay is your next best bet. Bemidji, MN isn't exactly a hotbed of import parts, so I think you might be stuck going with ebay.

I have dealt with LKQ on 3 occasions, and every time they have delivered a product just as good, if not better than they reported the condition to be. Have no fear dealing with them.

Or search all LKQ stores at once

That's what I was talking about. LKQ, not LDK. wink1.gif
There are a few of their reps in my area.

But I dont want to buy the motor and find out the block is cracked or anything. but since LKQ sound good I'll probably buy from them.

If you were buying from an individual, then a damaged motor/assembly might be a concern, but LQK usually warranties their stuff. In the rare cases that there is no warranty, they will state that in the aucton.
