i was watchign some tiburon videos and saw that one had a blue itb, now i don't know a great deal about that thing but i know a kid around here with a bad ass s2000 and he just got one and everyone was making a big deal about it, what good is it, where do ya get it, how much

ahhh cool, i just really don't understand it, anyone got any info on theses things benifits? not like i am spending the money for that but ... how does it work, wouldn't ya get crap in ya engine, what about air flow sensors and what not

Interesting, I know that they use individual throttle bodies on a lot of big and small block american engines, I am just not sure what the benefit is or how well they would work on our little foreign four cylinders.

Individual throttle bodies allow the engine to breath a lot better. For the airflow sensors, I'm not sure how others do it, but from an electronics point of view it would be pretty simple to wire up a summing amplifier to translate 4 voltages into 1.

ITB are expensive (the one example was $1900), and they are a b**** to tune. They work great at full throttle, but at part throttle they are very hard to tune (i.e. daily driving).
When done right, they are the ticket for ultimate Normally Aspirated performance. However, I would put them LAST on the list of mods, after such things like high compression pistons, cams and worked cylinder heads. If you don't have that stuff done, you won't see much of a gain with ITB, since the engine won't be outflowing the stock intake system. It's just not worth the time/expense unless you're going "whole hog".
