Just put the Amsoil in.

The shifter feels completely different. So much smoother. Initially, I was worried that getting the short shifter would make the shift feel even rougher.

Not anymore. I highly recommend it if its been a while since you've changed your tranny oil or you dont know when it was last changed.

Here's my list for ya:

Fuel filter
Hyundai Automatic Transmission Fluid (# quarts?)
Automatic Transmission Pan Gasket
Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter
Alternator Belt
Air Conditioning Belt
*Power Steering Belt
Timing Belt
*Belt and tension regulator
*Idler pulley
*Water Pump

* = something I added

I know it sucks spending all the money on stuff that isn't broken, but it's a LOT worse if you don't. Imagine spending all weekend and all that money replacing your timing belt, and then the water pump going bad a week later and you have to do it all over again.

I'll tell ya I've done the above 5 times now (2 Tibs and 1 Elantra in the family) and probably my least favorite part is cleaning off the old water pump gasket. Spend the $5 and good a good gasket scraper!
