Im turning to you guys again for help. Today i went up state and when i got there i was looking under my car and happened to look up my exhaust. There is this black thick sticky stuff sitting all in the tip of my muffler. Its a catback from shark racing. It was clear the other day cause i washed the car and saw that it was clear. But not any more. I dont know what it is. Please help!!!

Oops Off! or Goo gone might work. There also some stuff from auto zone (cant' think of the name) that supposed to remove tar or pitch from the body w/o messing up the paint (i know, exhaust) that would probably work too.

Are you N/A or turbo?

When that happened to me it was oil coming from the turbo.

Did you do any recent mods? Is the car running okay?

There really isn't anything that I can think of that would become sludge that has an opportunity to come out of your exhaust other than oil. Not good!

Tibs naturally run rich from the factory, so they're is going to be some unburnt fuel that runs through the exhaust.

Shouldn't happen in a day though. You have a CEL?

Its got to be something in the engine..does the oil/soot type stuff still come out the exhaust now? You get any smoke coming out from the exhaust?

I'd say check your spark plugs if you can and see if their oil covered after the cars been sitting for a little while. It could be an oil leak somewhere.

But oil/soot stuff coming out of your exhaust is not a good thing man.
