Tail Pipe Mesurement

does anyone have the mesurements for a shop to create a madrel bent tailpipe to mount aftermarket exaust? most places in pittsburgh, pa will rip you an arm and a leg to mount and bend pipe! (150 average to do install and bend of pipe)
i think im going to have to climb underneeth the car and take mesurements myself but if anyone has them please share!

It's not just bending pipe. I'm assuming they are going to weld flanges on to mount the hole thing together. It seems to me that the best way for them to do it is to pull off the stock one and eyeball for length. Lots of pre-measured exhaust have been made and most do not fit up as perfect as stock.
If you're talking measure for diameter then it's going to be whatever you want. I'd say 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 in if your staying n/a.
Actually I'm a little confused...What do you mean by "tailpipe" and "after market exhaust"?

if you look at 
you have the muffler then you have the pipe comming off the back with the 2 mounting rods welded on. alot of places i looked call the pipe comming off the back a tailpipe (and the stock one is a tailpipe and muffler) . now assuming since i do not have the cash for one of these and just got a muffler i was wondering the dimentions it would have to be in order to bend and fit the stock rest of the pipe.

Ok, let me get this straight.
You can't afford an catback off ebay, Motoria that goes for around 250? But you want to buy a muffler for around 40 and take a shop to put it on for about 100$? Are you nuts? LOL.
1. A muffler isn't going to do anything except for make your car sound like your local civics with fartcans.
2. Save up a bit more and go with a Catback system. You won't regret it.
3. All a shop needs to do is cut the old muffler off, weld 2 hangers on the muffler, than weld the muffler on. I suggest you do not go this route and save up a bit more.

i need something to replace the stock muffler, as it will not pass inspection, i was happy to have stock but when i was getting told that a new stock exaust would be 150+ i just dont have that cash. so i was looking for a way to pass inspection without shelling out all that cash for a new stock. i would love to drop 250 on a catback but right now its unrealistic.

^^^We are bro, but it just ain't making sense. The route he wants to go will be a big waste of money he doesn't have.
Sounds like the shop is giving you the run around because they don't want to be hassled. they are making it more complicated then it is. And if you are just going to throw a cheap replacement muffler on there, why are you worrying about mandrel bends. Crush bends will be the same as stock an should be much cheaper to have done.

I'm sure someone here can let go of a stock exhaust cheap if they still have it laying around... even though shipping costs might get you.
If not, as said, crush bends are going to be cheaper as the machines to make crush bends are cheaper.
