Ok so I have a pretty big issue. I own a 2001 Tiburon Auto, was givin to me as a gift but it has a problem, when I press the brake petal my taillights dont go on, but when I turn it on from the switch the brake lights go on, not the regular driving lights. Also when I turn on the switch for the lights, my driver headlight doesn't work, when I turn the signals, it acts as if one of my turning lights doesn't work. I was told to change the bulbs, but why should I if the fillament inside isn't burnt out, could a wrong type of bulb really cause a problem like that??? Well I hope someone can help me out, it drives me crazy lol. Well thanks in advance

I had a problem close to what you are experiencing. After along process it turned out to be a wrong taillight bulb with a higher Wattage. I'd check your bulbs before tearing anything apart.

Even if a bulb doesn't 'look' burnt, it still may be. Same with fuses. The best way to check a bulb is by swapping it for a known good one, or testing with a multimeter. Same with fuses.
