Ok to get to the starter from the bottom up I was told to take off the black bar that runs from the fton bumper to the middle of the car I took off the 4 big bolts now there are 2 little bolts going through another part holding I THINK the clutch and flywheel on, am I supposed to take those 2 bolts out also??? bc when I try the whole motor moves and I just want to make sure.

Ok kinda hard to understand you, slow down. Type in paragraphs.

You shouldnt have to take off the cross member, ive changed it without removing anything. but since youve already started, the two other bolts, are you talking about attached to the cross member? or the starter?

You just need to find the starter, under the intake manifold, trace it back to the appropriate bolts, loosen them (14 mm i think), you'll need some extensions to get it from certain angles. before you fully remove the bolts you need to unhook the small wire, and unbolt the (12mm i believe) nut attaching the larger wire.

then fully remove the other bolts and it should come right out.

I can do mine in less than two minutes now, that's including unhooking the battery. I do mine from the passenger side of the car though, underneath the intake manifold. You need a 17mm socket with a 12" extension on a ratchet and 17mm wrench to get the mounting bolts out of the starter and a 12mm wrench to get the wire off the starter. If you have the stock air box you need to remove it and the tube to gain access to the starter mounting bolts.
