why i say that is because alot of that stuff that is in that kit will need to be "retrofitted" to work on your beta 1 motor.
take for instance the throttle body. that hole you see in the pic that is in the bore of the TB you will need to plug it or else your car will try to react to the excess air flow. you will end up with a idle most likely around 3500 rpm like i did. not a big deal if you know what you are doing but just something you need to know.
the ECU that is offered in that kit is the beta2 ecu.
the header is a 4-2-1 where a 4-1 is better. not to mention the fact that megan header offered by flyryde or kfx performance IMO is better being a 4-1 and classier looking.
the underdrive pulley can be had cheaper through OBX even though you may have to file the keyway out a bit. again, not hard but that right there will save you 100 bux.
in terms of a CAI you just can't go wrong with a AEM model. most of the time you can pick them up off of ebay for around 150 bux.
in the long run....
underdrive pulley
obx = 90 bux
system upgrade = 150
cam pulley
obx = 70
system upgrade = 160
race high flow cat from SFR = 399
go price one from summit for a 2.5" exhaust and you will probably see 200 in difference just in that
see what i mean.
not to mention the fact that SFR thinks that 5 weeks is quick in terms of delivery. i have ordered from them several times and each time was around that except for one order of clear corners for my rd2.
jay from SFR has never done me wrong but i feel you should know these things.

That's quite a bit of money for only 20whp. You can almost put together a turbo kit and get 150whp more.
Or, for simplicity, just get a $300 nitrous kit and get 50whp with a quiet sleeper look.

I was planning to go with AEM CAI, megan header, magnaflo cat and muffler. and an ARK pulley set but I want to get the OE ECU flashed or maybe get a chip. The only chips I have seen though are the waste of money ebay chips. Vivid racing here in AZ says they can tune anything but I have to question that. Is the beta2 ECU an upgrade I should look into?

Get all the other parts first, then tune them. SAFC may be a good cheap way to go. But then a standalone would be the best for advancing the timing on an n/a application.
