I am not sure what you mean by plated. It is my understanding that the platnum and iradium plugs are NOT plated that is why they are so damn expensive. I've personally never tried the copper plugs. I've always ran the platnums but finally got so pissed off at them I tried the iradiums. I will never go back to platnums May try the copper sometime but not if like Odessit says they wear out after 5k miles or so. I do about that much in a month and a half!

Well according to NGK they are suppose to last longer without the dieout many people see in platnums after a short time. So far these have ran 100% better than the platnums. These (Iradium IX) run better than the platnum +4's when both are fresh and so far the Iradium IX's have had no dieout so far unlike the platnums.

NGK Iridiums for $25, and im guessing that shipping is not going to be $65 being that they only charge $5 to puerto rico

"Will ship to Worldwide "

wait a mintue? every 2 oil change? I think you guys are way to paranoid. Almost every car on the road has Copper,, and the manufacter saids change them 30,000 miles to 60,000 miles. I change mine every 30,000 miles.

You don't have to change them that often! They WILL last for 30k easily, but they will offer the best spark at their 1st 6k mi or so, maybe a bit more. But look, I just bought 2 sets for $22 shipped I think, which makes them $11 per set to have a super great spark? I think everyone can afford to spend $11 every other month or so.
