<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Stocker @ Nov 27 2009, 04:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>If your car shakes when you step on the brakes, you very likely have warped brake rotors.</div>

While this is likely one of the issues with the car, it still doesn't explain why the CEL would turn on. Warped rotors wouldn't trigger the CEL. After he explained that is when he brakes that the car shudders, warped rotors seem to be the most obvious cause. I'm guessing the CEL turning on is due to a totally unrelated issue, probably something like a misfire or a some faulty sensor acting up.

To azngoose, when was the last time you got the brakes/rotors done on your car? If it's been a while since they've been checked, or if the rotors are of cheap quality, they can warp very easily. Also, even with decent rotors, if you end up slamming on the brakes hard a couple of times, it can also warp the rotors. If you say your steering wheel shakes pretty bad when you brake, then it's most likely one or both of your front rotors that are warped. If the rear ones were warped, you would notice the car shudder a little and braking would be a little rough, but the steering wheel wouldn't shake so much. Replacing rotors isn't particularly expensive, I got a set of rotors and brake pads for under $100 and they work fine, you should be able to change them yourself easily.

^^^

Sorry not much update on this.....I've been lazy and haven't gone to autozone to find out all the codes that have been thrown.....sorry

Anyhow, i did run into a whole slew of other problems....i should start with my window regulator, it went out so my window doesn't go up or down (pending repairs), I found out that my driver side corner/side marker is out, the whole bulb/housing seems to have exploded or popped from something. I wanna convert to LEDs any suggestions?

Oh and when i first posted this i mentioned something about the clutch or brakes or what not, actually i guess the problem is when I brake for some odd reason I feel the engine vibrating really bad and it almost feels like the engine is gonna stutter and die.....and when I idle, the steering wheel vibrates very very badly.

I seem to recall there is a sticky thread in the DIY section about LED bulbs, but it has been covered in depth on this site somewhere.

If the RPMs stay above 700 or so, it is probably just normal-rough engine running, or bad engine mounts (or both, search for DTN's posts about engine shake)
If the RPMs go VERY low, you may have either a dirty throttle body, or a bad Idle Air Control valve, which regulates the amount of air going to the engine when the throttle plate closes.
