I'm looking to add an Optima red top battery to my car, and I'm just wondering what size fits our cars best. Optima's website doesn't list a model that fits, but the 34 model is only 3/8" deeper than the stock one, so I think it should fit ok. Has anybody found a battery that fits with the stock mounting bracket?

Here is a link to a thread about a battery. From what I've read the Optima will fit but this battery is cheaper I think. Check it out.

hey! That's my battery! Yes, you can just mount the hawker/odyssey bettery without the mount I bought.. I just needed an excuse to add some bling to the engine compartment. They also make a 1200CCA batter that is near the size of the stock battery.

LOL, sorry that's why I suggested it. I didn't think you'd care but it's tough sometimes. Everyone wants to be a little bit different. Just remember, you had it first.

nope.. I do not mind... I offered so people would know there is a choice out there... now there are some things I am doing I do not want people to copy.. but until they are done and on the car... they are a secret.
